Anne McKay

 

 

 

My ordinary hero is Anne McKay. She is a pediatric cardiologist at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health. She has been a second mom to me as well to many others in the community. She selflessly dedicates her life to her hundreds of patients as well as her four children.

 

Anne embodies all qualities of a hero: strength, dedication, love and passion. She goes on mission trips to Jordan where her and a team of qualified cardiologists perform intricate surgeries on fatally-ill children. Without her compassion, the children of Jordan would not have access to these life saving procedures.

 

She is a role model to all the young women she comes across proving that girls can become strong, independent women in the medical field among other things.
